About Us
Now in our tenth year and located in Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada, Performers’ Theatre Company is committed to presenting a variety of plays twice per year, in July and November. Our opening night is normally a Tuesday or Wednesday, and we run for 3 or 4 more nights before finishing with a Sunday matinee. We started with a focus on modern classics and have since broadened our scope to now include more recently written plays from international and Canadian playwrights.
Our Mission Statement
The Performers’ Theatre Company exists to bring together volunteer members of the community to enhance the cultural life of Sackville and surrounding areas through the performing arts.
Our Aims
- To stage a variety of well written plays while also aiming for a high quality theatre experience for our patrons.
- To provide opportunities for individuals to develop their skills through workshops and direct experience in theatre productions (eg: acting, stage managing, costuming, lighting, marketing).
- To create a sense of community by bringing people together from all walks of life to enjoy good theatre.
- To maintain a welcoming community group for those who wish to join by providing a high quality and satisfying volunteer experience.
- To foster cooperation and understanding between local arts and theatre groups and individuals, and the town of Sackville.
